No More.

Answer me this:
“What is a soldier if he has nothing to protect anymore?”

You were once my everything; you brought a smile upon my façade and it was something I couldn’t hide – even if I tried. You were like my beating heart that fueled me to do more than just the bare minimum. You were… Something else; a special gift sent down from above. You were my precious jewel that I felt the need to do more than just protect. There was once a time where I said I would die for you; and those words would still beat true to this day… But how can they when the only person I willingly fought for was no longer with me? She’s gone from my view, but I can just feel her presence. She is too far away to protect and now… I feel like a solider… Beaten, used, injured and lethargic – all my fighting energy, all my will, all my care seemed to have dwindled away. My life without you is like a deserted beach - with thunder booming around me, and lightning streaking across the sky. The land is dark, cold, and lonesome – not even my shadow is by my side any longer. Any solider can fight and keep on going until their last breath, but this solider can’t fight anymore… Not when she is no longer there to protect. My breath was taken away when you left and now it feels like I can no longer continue. I am worthless; you are no more.

Don’t you just love personal pieces of photo-manipulations? I sure do… Not. I can’t really do anything well late at night and thus, I conjured out this heap of crap. Alas, it’s a personal piece to me; and hey – maybe someone else – so I really don’t need any hateful comments or anything. It’s not that good nor is anywhere close to being good, but I felt the need to make it.
